Why I love this trip

Cambodia rewards people who slow down, and this trip gives it room. You see the temples of Angkor at their quietest, learn to cook Khmer food in a village kitchen, and stay in a tented jungle camp that funds the rangers protecting the forest around it.

Then it ends somewhere truly rare: five nights on a private island, with very little to do but swim, rest and enjoy it.

  1. Day 1

    Fly to Siem Reap

  2. Days 2 to 5

    Siem Reap and Angkor

4 nights at Zannier Phum Baitang, among the rice paddies

Explore Angkor Wat, the tree-wrapped ruins of Ta Prohm, delicate Banteay Srei and Angkor Thom with an expert guide, timed for the quietest hours. Watch sunrise over the Tonle Sap lake from a private boat, and spend an evening at the Phare circus.

  3. Days 6 to 8

    Phnom Penh

    3 nights in the capital

Discover the city by tuk-tuk, join a guided food tour of its markets, and spend a day cooking with a local chef in a village outside the city. Visits to the city’s memorial sites give important context, and a sunset cruise on the Mekong ends the stay.

  4. Days 9 to 11

    Shinta Mani Wild

3 nights in a luxury tented jungle camp

Arrive by zip-line over a waterfall if you are feeling brave. Join a patrol with the Wildlife Alliance rangers who protect this forest, forage and cook with the camp chef, kayak, and explore by expedition boat.

  5. Days 12 to 16

    Song Saa Private Island

5 nights in a villa with a private pool

Snorkelling, paddleboarding, sunrise yoga and the spa, or simply nothing at all.

  6. Day 17

    Fly home

By speedboat to the mainland, then on to Phnom Penh for your flight.

Make it yours

This is a starting point, not a package.

I design every trip with trusted experts who live and work in the region, and I can change anything here: your dates, your pace, the hotels, or how long you stay in each place. Where I can, I’ll add preferred-partner perks like daily breakfast and hotel credits to your stays. Pricing depends on season and the hotels you choose, so I’ll prepare a personal proposal for you.

Ready when you are
